Hair transplant scar camouflage — FUE & FUT
A transplant scar tells everyone the story you'd rather keep private. SMP blends FUT strips, FUE dots and injury scars back into the surrounding scalp, so light stops catching them — and short haircuts are back on the menu.
The scars we treat.
- FUT / strip scars — the linear scar across the back of the head that stops transplant patients ever cutting below a grade 3–4. Pigment placed into and around the line collapses the contrast that makes it visible.
- FUE scars — hundreds of tiny white extraction dots through the donor area, blended back to an even tone.
- Injury, burn & surgical scars — accident and operation scars on the scalp, camouflaged so hair appears to grow through them.
- Failed or ageing SMP — blurred, blued or patchy older work corrected and re-toned.
Scar tissue is denser and less predictable than normal skin — it holds pigment differently and can push it out during healing. That's why scar work here is built up gently across sessions, testing how your scar takes pigment before density is finalised. If your transplant is recent, we'll usually ask you to wait 6–12 months for the scar to mature first.

Many of our clients have had good transplants — and still come to us. SMP adds density behind a transplanted hairline where grafts alone look thin, conceals the donor scar so shorter cuts are possible, and fills areas the surgeon couldn't cover when donor hair ran short.
